This nationally recognised course provides the skills and knowledge required to perform a rescue from a live LV panel and provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) until emergency services arrive.

This nationally recognised unit UETDRMP018 – Perform Rescue from a Live LV Panel equips participants with the skills required to safely respond to electrical incidents and provide emergency assistance.

This course is designed for electricians, apprentices and workplace teams who must maintain Low Voltage Rescue and CPR competency.

The training is practical and scenario-based to ensure participants understand how to act quickly and safely in real workplace environments.

  1. Responding to an electrical emergency

    Identify electrical hazards and respond safely to an electrical incident involving a live low voltage panel.

  2. Safe rescue procedures

    Apply correct rescue techniques to safely remove a casualty from a live electrical panel using appropriate equipment.

  3. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)

    Perform CPR on an unconscious casualty according to current Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines.

  4. Using rescue equipment

    Use insulated rescue equipment safely and correctly in an electrical emergency.

  5. Emergency response and communication

    Follow emergency procedures including raising the alarm and coordinating with emergency services.

  6. Post incident actions

    Ensure the area is made safe and follow workplace procedures after an electrical incident.
